Getting hot and steamy can be awesome, as illustrated in the 1997 smash hit Titanic.

But having the bathroom mirrors fog up during a nice hot shower can be very annoying. Getting ready in the morning can already be rushed, and wiping down your mirrors after your shower wastes time. Since most people like to shave or clean up after a shower, the need for a clear mirror is prime.
So, if you want to save time in the morning or hate reliving scenes from Titanic, here are a few ways to keep your bathroom mirror from fogging up.
1. Shaving Cream
Shaving cream is actually an excellent deterrent for foggy mirrors. There's nothing like a 2-in-1 product to spice up the day. So, the next time you shave before your shower, lather the mirror with shaving cream and wipe it clean with a towel. Your mirror will be fog-free for a few weeks, and it's as easy as that.
2. Vinegar
Creating a 50-50 solution of vinegar and water will also do the trick. Instead of buying a mirror cleaner like Windex, which has a ton of chemicals inside, you can use this all-natural cleaner instead.
Simply pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of vinegar into an old spray bottle, add a drop or two of dishwashing soap, and spray. Wipe the mirror with a towel; the glass should stay steam-proof for a few days.
Vinegar does have an odor, but it should go away within an hour. You can also add lemon juice for a fresh-smelling bathroom.
Want it to be streak-free too? Try wiping it down with a newspaper instead.
3. Dish Soap
Using a light coating of dishwashing liquid can also do the trick. Place a few droplets of soap onto your palm and add water. Wipe this soapy hand across the face of the mirror and then wipe clean with a paper towel. Voilà.
The mirror should remain clear for about a day; then, you can repeat the process. Using this method is also handy for creeping out other shower users. Lather your hands in soap, write your message, and wipe.
4. Car Wax and Defoggers
Using leftover car wax or an interior window defogger like this one will also do the trick. Just apply and wipe like you would with your car.
5. Blow Dryer
All of the above methods require a preemptive strike. But, if you forgot or don't feel like applying anything to your mirror, you can use a blow dryer to eliminate the water from your mirrors quickly.
