How to Get Glue off Your Hands

Did you get a little too carried away with your Elmer's glue? No worries! Here are some ways to get the glue off easily.

Rinse your hand in water when glue is still wet

If the glue has not dried, rinse your hand with water, while wiping it off with the other hand. For example, you have glue on your thumb, so take your pointer/index finger and rub them together under water.

Rub dried glue off

If the glue has dried, just start rubbing your hands together, under water, it will come off. Be patient and persistent as this can take some time but it will come off eventually.

Let time do the trick

If you don't mind too much, just let it peel off in its own time. After a shower, towel rub and handling other items, the glue will peel off on its own.

Tips

  • This process works faster if the water is warm.

Warnings

  • Do not make the water too hot
  • If glue sticks somewhere on your face, ask someone to help you out
  • This only works with some types of glue.

Things You'll Need

  • Water
  • A friend(IF NECESSARY)
